This gallery features Annette Makino’s haiga, a Japanese art form combining images with haiku. The images in the top row are painted with sumi ink and Japanese watercolors on paper using bamboo brushes. The pieces in the bottom row are collages made with hand-painted and torn Japanese washi papers and other found papers on illustration board. If you are interested in purchasing a painting, please contact the artist.
